Almost there!
We’re busy closing the books on LGM 2010 and soon deciding where to go for LGM 2011 (Brasil? Montreal? Vietnam? Follow the discussion at: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/create) so we almost did not notice that it’s only a very little stretch to our initial goal of raising 10.000$ on Pledgie 🙂

not for living 1/3 of my life in Brazil, but i think would be awesome having LGM there – i don’t know how far people envolved with software libre in graphic design would interest on host this kind of meeting with this importance, and even which city were mostly suitable for hosting it (Porto Alegre (hosts FISL meetings), Curitiba, São Paulo, Goiânia (interesting case study of brazilian graphic design, maybe they use software libre a lot as well?), Belo Horizonte, Recife, etc.) – would be interesting seeing comments from actually brazilian-living people below! 🙂

I started to make some contacts with brazilians involved with software-libre related to graphic-design and arts, and they seems very enthusiastic about – and intesting is in Brazil, as most of the people know, Lula da Silva government is strongly supporting software-libre, would be a brilliant opportunity (for all) having LGM in Brazil next year.
